What is a Christian Science Reading Room?

A Reading Room is a bookstore and library. It is a place where you can learn about spiritual healing from a Christian perspective, and to find healing answers to any problem you might face. There is a salesroom, lending library, and quiet study room open to everyone in the community. While there is an attendant on duty happy to answer questions about Christian Science or help make purchases, everyone is free to explore the many resources on their own.

Who is it for?

You! It’s for everyone in the community interested in furthering their study of the Bible, enriching their lives spiritually, learning more about God and their relationship to him, or even just sitting quietly for a time of reflection and prayer.

What do you have to sell or read there?

In our Reading Room we have the King James Version of the Bible, many other Bible translations, dictionaries and commentaries, the National Bestseller, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, and the Pulitzer Prize winning newspaper “The Christian Science Monitor”. We also have inspiring CD’s, magazines, books, pamphlets and many children’s items, all educating, enriching and comforting.

In our study room we have over one hundred years of articles, and testimonies testifying to the healing power of prayer in daily life. We also have computer tools for research and live web cast events.
